![]() ![]() I found Eater Plague to be less effective, because I mostly attack characters and vehicles with my Prince, and thus he doesn’t kill a lot of models. Combo with the Veterans of the Long War Strat for further shenanigans.įurthermore, I always give the Prince Rotten Constitution. Bring Blades of Putrefaction and another character with Arch Contaminator for extra power and rerolls. Even without the Strat he mulches straight through anything. Still, I take a Prince with the Relic Blade every time I play. The Stratagem specifically states a Hellforged Sword or a Daemonic Axe, and the Epidemicyst Blade “replaces” the Hellforged Sword. I am sorry man, but you can’t use Soul Harvest on the Epidemicyst Blade. I haven't tried this yet but you could also grab a Daemon Detachment and slap on their version of Blades of Putrefaction, which gives you a +1 to wound (but the maximum you can do in 9th Edition is +1 to wound) and double damage on a wound roll of 6, so on hit rolls of 6 you get 2 extra hits and wound rolls of 6 you get a mortal wound and a 4 damage hit. Depending on what warlord trait you give him you can be doing AP2 or AP3 (Sangous Flux), or gaining wounds back for every model you kill (to a maximum of 3 wounds, Eater Plague), it turns him into a Putrid Blender. So you're doing 8 attacks, hitting on 2s rerolling 1s, wounding tanks on 3s and any infantry on 2s (Blades of Putrefaction give you a +1 to wound and mortal wounds on wound rolls of 6) and rerolling wound rolls of 1 thanks to the Plague Weapon trait on the Epidmcyst Blade. That's 5 attacks (4 base +1 from charging) and if you are fighting infantry you can do Soul Harvest for 1CP for an additional 3 attacks. The fun part is the Prince, with the Blade hes getting 1 additional hit per hit roll of 6, and with Death to the False Emperor every hit roll of 6 means you roll an additional hit, so youre basically generating 2 additional hits every hit roll of 6 against Imperium units. This gives your Prince 12 inches of movement, two (relatively) cheap bodyguards that can last a while and mulch infantry. I typically run a Prince with wings, the Epidemicyst Blade, Blades of Putrefaction, and two Bloat Drones with Fleshmowers. otherwise, we are all just people who enjoy the game.I almost always have at least 1 Daemon Prince in my army, our Daemon Prince (in my opinion) is one of the best.
